The incumbent Governor of Bayelsa State, Governor Diri Douye has announced the full reopening of schools in the state on October 5th 2020.
Bayelsa state was created out of Rivers state on October 1, 1996 by the then Late Sani Abacha Government.
The news of the reopening of schools was made public by the Commissioner of information, Mr. Ayibaina.
In the words of him, Schools are to reopen on October 5th 2020 with the Continuation of third term.

The Government also emphasized on about new academic session would.
He said, Third term session will terminate on December 18th and a new academic session would commence in January 2021.
So all students are to prepare against their resumption, he conclude.
