For sometime now, I have been seeing series of comments both Positive and negative flooding the social Media Space concerning the statement made by Elder Godday Orubebe on his support to PDP Delta State Chapter Zoning Agreement and his intention to work according to their agreement in the party.
Because of the comment, many ijaw Comrades and activists had already tagged him as a Nemesis of the Delta 2023 Ijaw Agenda, I wanted not to react but some negative comments are pushing me to do so:
First & foremost let me clarify the Public and anyone concerned that am not a loyalist to Elder Orubebe but to be sincerely speaking; what Orubebe said has nothing to cause for alarm, it has nothing to be termed as a Nemesis towards the ijaws for their 2023 Governorship ambition because the ijaws didn't support him when he contested against Okowa in 2014 PDP Primaries.
I don't really see anything wrong with his support to the Zoning Agreement of the People's Democratic Party, even the Nigerian Constitution clearly states that anybody can support any Candidate of his or her choice, his choice shouldn't bother you because he has the right to hold on to his decisions and nobody has the right to Question him, na him choice abeg not yours!
The idea of media practitioners insulting and calling people as an Antagonist of ijaw because they're not part or interested in the Delta ijaw Agenda for 2023 is totally wrong, people who are into such barbaric behavior should please change to good and understand that "Politics is a game of interest".
So because of ijaw Agenda 2023 you want an APC man to support your PDP man because all are from same tribe? Haba!....It doesn't work that way.
You and i knows the laws guiding members of a Political Party, you cannot serve two parties at same time, the person you termed as a "SAINT" in APC may be a "DISASTER" in PDP & vice versa.
The Ijaw Agenda 2023 can mean different things to different people, some will term it as Delude and others will regards it as the future plan for ijaw people Development in the State.
Ijaw 2023 Agenda is real and Sacrosanct but without been Antagonistic to the said Agenda; what Orubebe said is right and he has no hatred for the ijaws in Delta State, furthermore; the IJAW AGENDA 2023 can never be for everybody so my appeal to all concerned Media Practitioners that they shouldn't by any means label people that are against such Agenda as an Antagonist of ijaw, we know the real Antagonists of the ijaw Development.
